Monteillet Fromagerie

Great picture frame, but even more amazing photo of Joan Monteillet of 'Monteillet Fromagerie' in Walla Walla, WA at 13 years old riding her horse. Having grown up in the town, she recalls when young girls on horses had more pull on the street than anyone in a car. Her cheese tasting room is a must visit or go as far as we did, and stay for the weekend with friends in the 3 bedroom house located on the cheese farm. Their Mejean cheese (sheep's milk) soaked in Dunham Syrah wine is amazing.

Waitsburg, WA

While on a wonderful trip to Walla Walla, WA, we passed through the small cozy town of Waitsburg and found this - a great building, which I think is an antique shop, covered in faux bois. If anyone happens to make it there, also be sure to swing by Whoopem Up Hollow Café for a amazing bite to eat and the art gallery across the street!

Chilewich woodgrain!

Chilewich, who make great woven vinyl products, have just introduced an amazing line of woodgrain "plynyl" fabric!! This past weekend, we were at ICFF and our eyes immediately caught all the people walking around with these paper bags with a woodgrain pattern. The bags were from Chilewich and I made a b-line straight to their booth. Here's some shots of their display, and a few of the cushions they made with the fabric.I'll have some more shots coming up as soon as I get back!

Overture Tree

I love Poketo tees. I already have a couple and have given them as gifts. I'm about to add this one any minute which was in their newsletter. It's by Jason Malcolm Brown and Aya Yamasaki Brown who make up the team Overture. Love the colorful interpretation of the trunk.

metal faux wood cube

This gorgeous cast metal "wood" cube is # 19 on this month's Metropolitan Home Design 100. It's called the "Merritt" table, by Jay Johnson, Arthur Dunnam, Christine Cain and Andy Clark.
