japanese crackers

japanese packaging never ceases to amaze. this wood texture and the little clear window to reveal the crackers are subtle and cute. these crackers actually look like little snow covered branches. i'm detoxing this week - no sugar, no salt, nothing greasy, but... i cheated on these. i guess i'm not perfect and life's too short right! they're fried pretezely twigs with sugar coating. on the back side of the packaging it says 'ichicka tokushima sobako karinto' which i think in short translates to crackers.
